- 18.5 acres - Almost pure sugar maple stand with an open understory - Small knoll within woodlot dominated by large colony of Dutchman’s breeches in early spring - Abundant herbaceous species include spring beauty, toothwort, bedstraw, bellwort, and wood anemone - Eastern third of woodlot is fenced off; contains pond and is heavily grazed, but with a persistence of spring flora - Contains some poorly developed trails |

This stand condition was artificially induced by the initiation of a maple syrup production management program in which all trees but sugar maples were removed.
