Elsesser East Woodland, Location Map

Elsesser East Woodland is joined with Clever Woodland. The northwest portion is Clever and the southeast portion is Elsesser East.

Location

  • Elsesser East Woodland Location Map
  • South Campus, farms area, east of College Rd. between Bennett Rd. and Power Line Dr.
  • Adjoining to Clever Woodland.
  • South and west sides are fenced.
  • Accessibility is limited due to the natural growth of vegetation and the terrain.

  • There are no formal entrances.

  • Follow the instructions of the Farm Contact for parking.

Features

  • Area: approx. 7 acres. Discrepancy with original description of 2.2 acres.
  • Contains mostly sugar maple, but also has some basswood, white ash, butternut, beech, and red oak.
  • Lots of young even-aged sugar maple in the understory.
  • Dense thicket of prickly-ash on the south and east sides.
  • Small pond on northwest boundary.
